A plunge into the myth and history of the Alpine crossing, the epic of the first railway route to Europe, which was an authentic engineering challenge for its time.
Through a collection of engravings from the second half of the 19th century, acquired by TELT (Tunnel Euralpin Lyon Turin), a multimedia narrative is created, reconstructing the history and construction of the Frejus Tunnel and the Fell railway and documenting the landscapes on the French and Italian sides, the pre-existing transports, the work of the workers and the techniques of tunnel excavation, the celebrations for the inauguration in 1871.
